The United Church of Christ is an inclusive and diverse community of Christians connected by faith that calls us to build a just world for all. Our ministries advocate at a national and global level, but our roots are planted firmly in our local churches in communities like yours.
For over 400 years, the United Church of Christ has been the church of firsts, weaving God’s message of hope and extravagant welcome with action for justice and peace. We are a church where Jesus the healer meets Jesus the revolutionary, and where together, we grow a just and peaceful world. Our history is filled with ways our faith and call for justice have effected change in our communities, and our response to the demands of our faith is woven into the history of our country.
Core Beliefs
We believe all are welcome and united by God’s love. For The United Church of Christ, Justice and Jesus are inseparable. Our daily worship is anchored by the belief that God is still speaking. At our core, we believe that each person is unique and valuable. It is the will of God that every person belongs to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved.
How We Serve
The United Church of Christ answers God’s call for a just world for all through local, national and global efforts. Through our various ministries, we focus on key issues facing our world today.

Our church was formed in 1958 and was known as Hollywood's First Congregational Church, as part of the UCC. In 1968, the Presbyterian Church USA merged with our Congregational church to establish the First United Church of Christ Hollywood. Since then, we have grown into a welcoming and vibrant community-oriented church that serves our members and our city.

We are committed to serving our community and sharing the love of Christ. We offer a variety of ministries and programs for all ages. We manage a charitable thrift store on-site, and serve our local and global siblings through community organizations in Hollywood, Broward County, and beyond. Our ministries are designed to help our members grow in their faith and serve others in our community.
