We are a welcoming and diverse self-governing congregation guided by the three principles of the United Church of Christ: 1) a church of extravagant welcome and hospitality; 2) witnesses to justice as we have concern for our neighbors; and 3) priesthood of all believers -every person has the right to discover who God is calling them to be. Christ is the head of the Church. Through our relationship with God, we know God is still speaking.

Find Treasures At The Thrift Store
The Thrift Store at First United Church of Christ Hollywood has been operating for over 30 years. It is a beloved community resource that helps make a tangible difference in the lives of local individuals and families. Operated by dedicated church volunteers and some community volunteers, our store offers gently used items at affordable prices, with all proceeds supporting the needs of our church. We provide a space where donations are transformed into
treasures—benefiting not only those who shop with us, but also the many who rely on our support.
Through the store we support the homeless by providing clothing, socks and hygiene supplies free of charge. Working with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office we are able to offer opportunities for individuals to complete community service hours by working in the Thrift Store.
We accept donations of clothing, household items, books, and more. Every item that comes through our doors is carefully sorted, and priced to offer quality goods at bargain rates. Whether looking for something practical, decorative, or unique, shoppers find something special at our Thrift Store.
The Thrift Store is more than just a store—it’s a hub of connection to the community and a source of outreach for the church. Volunteers and shoppers come together to support the church’s broader mission of love, service, and community. By shopping with us or donating to
the store, customers and community volunteers have become friends of the church and some have become members of the church.
